What is Ijazah?

An Ijazah serves as a formal certification, authorizing individuals to transmit the sacred text of the Holy Quran to others. It represents the permission to teach and recite the Quran with Tajweed, following a chain of reciters traced back to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

Why Quran Ijazah Recitation Course?

The Quran Recitation Course is crucial for Muslims as it preserves the original text, strengthens their spiritual connection with Allah's words, enhances prayer, and allows them to earn spiritual rewards. It fosters cultural ties, enables leading congregational prayers, and empowers teaching and spreading the Quran's message. Overall, the course fulfills religious obligations and enriches personal growth through accurate and beautiful recitation of the Quranic verses.
Linguistically, the term Tajweed signifies "doing something well" and derives from the Arabic root letters 'Jeem,' 'Waw,' and 'Daal,' which are also present in the word 'Jayyid,' meaning "good." Tajweed refers to the set of rules and guidelines for correctly reciting the Quran. The Quran was revealed with Tajweed, as the angel Jibreel (as) delivered Allah's (swt) words to the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) in a specific manner, and the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) recited it in the permissible way of recitation.
Having a deep understanding of the attributes of each letter in the Quran is crucial, as it prevents any inadvertent changes in the meaning during recitation. It is our duty to honor every letter's essence by recognizing its essential characteristics while reciting the Quran. By doing so, we aim to recite the holy Quran in a manner as close as possible to how the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) recited it, with the hope of earning Allah's blessings, in sha Allah.
Enroll in our Ijazah course, where students will have the opportunity to engage in personalized one-on-one sessions with our native, experienced, and highly certified tutors. Upon successful completion, the student will receive an Ijazah certificate from our certified Sheikh.
