Welcome to our Qur’an Ijazah (Memorization) Course! We provide the tools, support, and knowledge necessary to memorize the Quran in a systematic and effective manner.
An Ijazah serves as a formal certification, authorizing individuals to transmit the sacred text of the Holy Quran to others. It represents the permission to teach and recite the Quran with Tajweed, following a chain of reciters traced back to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
Quran Memorization, known as "Hifz" in Islam, encompasses a profound journey that not only enhances one's cognitive abilities but also fosters a deeper spiritual connection with Allah and strengthens bonds within the community.
The term "Hifz" is derived from the Arabic word "حِفْظْ," meaning the guardian or memorizer of the Quran. For males who have completely memorized the Quran, they are referred to as "Hafiz," while females are called "Hafiza."
Committing to the Hifz Quran journey demands dedicated effort and sincere commitment, but the rewards from Allah are boundless, both in this life and the hereafter. Achieving the status of a Hafiz/Hafiza holds great significance in Islam, as the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) himself emphasized its importance, stating: "Such a person as recites the Qur’an and masters it by heart, will be with the noble righteous scribes (in Heaven)" [Sahih al-Bukhari].
Enroll in our Ijazah course, where students will have the opportunity to engage in personalized one-on-one sessions with our native, experienced, and highly certified tutors. Upon successful completion, the student will receive an Ijazah certificate from our certified Sheikh.
The Quran Memorization Ijazah is a prestigious certification granted by a qualified Imam or scholar, empowering its holder to teach Quran Memorization (Hifz) after successfully memorizing the entire Quran and reciting it by heart, applying the rules of Tajweed, and without any errors, in the presence of the authorized tutor.
The Quran Memorization Course typically covers the following key aspects:
Ghunnah and Qalqalah:
Ghunnah refers to nasalization or the production of a nasal sound during the pronunciation of specific letters in the Quran. It occurs when one of the following four letters is followed by a Noon (ن) or Meem (م) with a Sukun (a short, silent vowel mark).
Qalqalah refers to a slight bouncing or echo-like effect that occurs when pronouncing specific Arabic letters within certain conditions. The letters that are affected by Qalqalah are known as the "Qalqalah letters," and they are: ق (Qaf), ط (Ta), ب (Ba), ج (Jim), د (Dal).
Makharijul Huruf (مَخَارِجُ الحُرُوف) :
"Makharijul Huruf" refers to the study of the articulation points of Arabic letters.
Tajweed Rules:
This course emphasizes basic Tajweed rules, which govern the correct pronunciation, elongation, and characteristics of Arabic letters. Students learn to apply these rules to enhance their recitation and maintain the proper flow and melody of Quranic verses.
Proper Pronunciation:

1. Start from 30th Chapter (Para) then 1st Chapter and so on. Start from 30th Chapter (Para) then 1st Chapter and so on. During online Hifz class, the tutor recites a new Surah or several verses to be memorized.
2. The student listens attentively to the recitation by the tutor.
3. Next, the student recites the verses while the tutor carefully listens and provides corrections, if needed.
4. The student is then tasked with memorizing these verses for the upcoming Quran memorization session. One or Two new Chapter (Para) will be memorized, every month
5. In the following class, the student revisits the previously memorized verses, and the tutor listens, correcting any errors if necessary. Once reviewed, they progress to the next session. Every month One or Two previously memorized Chapters (Para) will be revised.
As a result, our online Quran memorization course is structured into two main components:
● Memorization of New Verses
● Revision of Previously Memorized Material
On Hifz completion, a test will be conducted by the teacher and our Head Quran Teacher. If the student passes this test then an e-Certificate will be issued with the marks obtained. Passing Marks are 80%.
Our Hifz program is designed to assist students in correctly reciting, understanding, and memorizing the Holy Quran, typically within a timeframe of one (1) to Two (2) years.
It's important to note that the completion of the Quran within a specific time frame cannot be guaranteed, as each student's memorization journey is unique. Some may achieve this milestone in less than a year, while others may take longer, up to two or three years. Our primary aim is to ensure that students memorize the Quran in a manner that fosters lasting retention.
Becoming a Hafiz requires significant effort and dedication from both the student and their parents, and it is a journey that demands commitment and perseverance.
Before final enrollment, student will go through an evaluation process and spend an assessment term of 30 to 90 days. This allows us to determine the best approach for their Quranic memorization journey.
Upon assessment, eligible students will receive a personalized tentative memorization plan. This plan will provide you with an understanding of the expected progress your child may achieve throughout the year. The plan is designed to keep you informed about your child's progress and the milestones they will work towards during their Hifz journey.
